About

The Annual Louis L. Odette Family Lecture, sponsored by a family of generous philanthropists, was launched in 2015 to raise awareness of the global homelessness crisis, uncover innovative solutions, and bring engaged Canadians together to influence and inspire change.

YWCA Toronto, 87 Elm Street Toronto, ON M5G 0A8

Communities across Canada are grappling with a homelessness crisis and a dire shortage of affordable housing. Mandy Chapman Semple will share lessons learned from an innovative person-centred strategy that reduced homelessness in Houston by 60 percent over four years. A panel of experts will then discuss what we can apply from Houston’s experience to achieve a meaningful reduction in homelessness in Toronto. Please join us for this insightful evening.
