Why Bill Pringle became a HUMANCARE champion

Bill Pringle is Senior Portfolio Manager, Pringle Portfolio Management Group, at RBC Wealth Management – Dominion Securities. A long-time volunteer with St. Michael’s Foundation, he now serves on the Foundation’s Audit and Finance Committee.

What inspired you to join the HUMANCARE campaign team?

I was impressed by how ambitious and unique the campaign is. When we improve patients’ confidence and comfort within the health-care system, we’ll improve outcomes across every field of medicine. I believe the impact of this campaign will be far-reaching and long-lasting, and provide a model for other hospitals and health-care workers to follow in the future.

What’s most important in a health-care experience?

All Canadians deserve to have a health-care experience in which they feel safe, acknowledged and comfortable.

What HUMANCARE initiative excites you most?

The artificial intelligence initiatives. By applying AI to make our health-care system more efficient, doctors and nurses will have time to focus on more meaningful work. They can see more patients and take the time to ensure that the patient’s care experience is on par with their clinical one.
