Intervening Early in Childhood for a Lifetime of Health
Factors such as family income, housing stability, food security and access to health care can not only affect children’s immediate health and development, but also their lifetime risk of disease. MAP researchers are bringing school-based health and developmental care to under-served communities, and are working to understand and prevent the long-term effects of socioeconomic adversity in childhood.
