Support Well Living House

A place where Indigenous people can gather, understand, and share.

Janet

Well Living House is an action-research centre for Indigenous health and well-being. At our core, we want to be a place where Indigenous people can gather, understand and share what it means to be a healthy child, family and community building a “Well Living House”. We work towards this by doing cutting-edge research that improves health policies, services and programs at the local, provincial and national levels.

Current, priority funding areas for Well Living House include:

  1. Supporting Indigenous students with access to paid placements and learning opportunities.
  2. Facilitating the exchange of Indigenous scholars (students and investigators) from across Turtle Island and around the world.
  3. Compensating our Grandparents Counsel for governing our work and grounding us in Indigenous knowledge, protocols, and practices.
  4. Collaborating with First Nations, Inuit, and Metis groups on initiation, implementation, and dissemination of community-led research projects.

Priorities 1-3 each require annual funding of $50,000.00 and priority 4 funding requirements range from $50,000 - $2,000,000 depending on the project. However, donations of any amount will directly contribute to advancing Well Living House’s strength-based approaches to research.

Albert

The impact of our work has already been felt by many diverse First Nations, Inuit, Metis and Indigenous communities, and we’re extremely grateful for all of our funders who support the continuation of our efforts.

But – it’s going to take more support to build the Well Living House that we envision, so please donate today.
